I lay chained in the belly of the ship. Weeks must have passed, but here there is no light so I don't know. The ship lurches; I have finally gotten over sea sickness, but I hear my brother, Tau, vomit.
"Kali," he groans, "when will death come?" I nearly cry, but for his sake I must remain strong.
I steady my voice and reply, "I don't know, please don't give up." Cramped and afraid I listen to my brother's ragged breathing beside me. Weeks ago, he caught a fever and is slowly burning up. I lay awake wondering what time it is, then I realize it, Tau is not breathing!
"Tau," I scream, "Tau, are you there, can you hear me?" He doesn't even stir. I pray for this nightmare to be over, that I will wake up and I will be in my bed with Tau lying next to me. But it is real, Tau is dead, and I'm alone. The ship lurches a final time and all is still.
Suddenly the hatch is thrown open and two men climb down the ladder. As I squint at the glaring sunlight; I feel someone unlock my wrists and pull me up. A collar is put around my neck, not that I am strong enough to run anyway.
Once we are clean and have clothing we are taken to an auction house, I catch sight of my sister, Issa, we make eye contact, but then look away. I have heard stories of traders purposely separating families, so if Issa and I act like we aren't sisters, then there is the faintest possibility that we can be together. I feel rough hands grab my collar and pull me onto the stage.
"Who will start the bidding" the auctioneer asks.
"I bid 20" one man says.
"I bid 30" another one adds
They continue in this matter for some time. All the while a burning anger fills me with disgust and embarrassment. I want to cry, but I don't want to humiliate myself anymore than I already have. The only time I ever saw an auction was when it came time to buy animals for the farm.
The men continue to haggle over my price, until from the back of the room a small voice says "I bid 100 for her."
"Sold" says the auctioneer. I don't think I have ever heard such devastating words in my 14 years on this planet. I chance to glance at my new owner, and nearly gasp with surprise. The woman is about 80 and is bent and frail, she looks at me with sad eyes and says "Come child, we need to get home."
"Mistress," I plead, "could you buy my sister too?"
"Of course child." she says in a soothing voice, "Two are better than one."
After she buys Issa she asks our names, "My name is Kali." I stammer nervously, I look to Issa, but she looks as scared me. When we reach the lady's mansion she undoes her shawl and throws her cane on the floor. For the second time today she surprises me, she is a beautiful young woman! She then explains that her house is actually a stop off point for the Underground Railroad, and couldn't resist buying a few Africans who looked almost dead. Then she explains we are to get well at her house, then we are to go through the Underground Railroad ourselves.
Two weeks have passed and Issa and I are ready to leave. We are given extra clothing, food, water, maps, and new names. I am now Eliza, and Issa is now Anna.
As we leave that night the woman whispers "Run to freedom." That is exactly what we do.

Cheerful California
Thanksgiving break is a wonderful holiday. You just be thankful for what you have, and you get a lot of time to do so. Last Thanksgiving break, I got to meet my second cousin who lives in Australia. What we did together was worth a lot of thanking.
It took a lot of traveling to get together. My cousin came to California, and my family and I flew to California. It took earplugs, many packs of gum, and mind exercises to overcome boredom to get there safely. We stayed in Los Angeles. It was super cool. Unlike Hesston, all the things were big and beautiful. Not everything, though. Somethings were hideously sad. Either way, we had a lot of fun there that was crammed into three days. It was kind of hectic, but at least we never got bored that much.
The first place we went to was Disneyland. It was seriously amazing! They had all these amazing rides and the castle was surprisingly different from the pictures. It sparkled in the sun, and was lit up during the night. At the end of the day, there was this beautiful firework show related to some Disney
movie songs. Everything was in such a rush that I don't remember every amazing detail, but I do remember that we saw places dedicated to each movie with characters from them too. Sadly, we only had one day there, so we didn't get to do a lot of things.
The next day, we went to Universal Studios. We didn't see a movie in the making, but we saw how and what they used when they make a movie. Then we saw the amusement park park. It had Harry Potter, Minions, Transformers, and a lot of other big hits. Like Disneyland, though, we only had one day, so we explored very little of this incredible paradise. It was definitely worth going to.
On the last day we spent in California, we went shopping. It was endless malls, manikins, and money. Absolutely boring. The next day, we went to Arkansas, where we chilled with my cousins. It involved a lot of running, laughing and playing. This vacation was amazing!

snow
winter is my favorite season because snow. Snow i love to play in the snow. Every year it snows i love to go sledding down the hill. With my friend and my brother. This year we have not had snow yet but last year we got a lot of snow. that morning my brother woch me up saying IT IS SNOWING.i freckled out say OK i will be there in a minuet.I got changed and ran outside. whine i got out there there was snow about up to my nees. Me and my brother and my Friend ran to the par with about 4 sled. win we got there we raced up the hill. thin we went down over and over age. finely i deceased to stand on the sled i went head first of. after about a hour we got board so we had a snow ball fight. but we cud not the bass wad not say together. after about a hour making forts and snow balls the snow started to meat so we went home.I stayed home and took a nap win i wock up all the snow was got. I wish it wad of stayed longer. espshly so i cooed of stayed home the next day to play in the snow insted of going to school but i went to school the nest day and that was it of my snow day

So this is a bit of a depressing topic but i'm mad at America so why not.
So drugs have chemicals that hook your body on it. Well all of that is rong along with every thing else you know about addiction. lets start form the beginning so most scientists well lets get a rat and some heroin/cocaine laced water and some normal water. And in this experiment the rat almost always got addicted and over dosed. but Bruce Alexander a scientist saw this why is thare only one rat so he made rat park which was full of crawling tubes and color full balls for the rats to play with. And the rats didn't over dose.

Today, Monday, 10-17-16 is the end of the volleyball season. We are giving our secret sister one last gift. If you don't know what a secret sister is they are someone who gives you gifts anonymously. You turn the gift into the coach and the coach gives the the gift to your secret sister. Today we are also playing Bigger or Better. Bigger or Better is a game where you start out with a dollar and you go around town and trade for things that are bigger or better than your previous item. My group ended with a camouflage jacket and a hat. The winner of the game was another team and they had reclining chair! This volleyball season was the best part of the year so far.
Andy Murray
I love tennis so, I am going to tell you about a famous Scottish tennis player named Andy Murray. He was born in Glasgow Scotland in 1987 and started playing tennis at the age of 3. His coach was Judy a former professional player. In 2006 he got a new coach Brad Gilbert and started to beat some really famous players like Roger Federer He became a professional tennis player in 2005, and in London 2012 he won a gold medal. Also in 2012 he beat Jo-Wilfred Tsonga and made Scotland proud. Andy was first British man to make it to Wimbledon since the late 1930's. In 2013 he made a record for British men and won the Wimbledon tournament.In 2015 he did very well in the Australian open. Andy has been doing very well in 2016 and hopefully has good seasons in the future.

If I could be a pokèmon gym leader
If I was a Pokèmon gym leader, the types I would have one of these types: fighting, dark, grass, steel, dragon and ice. It would be a 6 on 6, only the trainer can suditute and the battle will be over when all 6 Pokèmon can't continue. My Pokèmon would be Lucario, Honchkrow, Aegislash, Abomasnow, Toxicroak and Gardevoir. If they challenger won the match, the badge will look like 5 pokèballs circling around a big pokèball called: the Pokè badge. That would their last badge, and could be in the Pokèmon league.
Now, if you want to battle, you must have 7 badges. If you don't, I'm sorry, but you would have to leave, I'm like a challenge. I would ask you leave, even if your out of the region, "like pallet town", and you say your destined to have a battle, I WILL NOT EXEPCT YOUR CHALLENGE!!!!!Even...Whoh, sorry; even if you're beginning your "very FIRST journey".
I've captured many Pokèmon in my past and battled the elite four and the Kalos champ. Because of them, i've gotten stronger. I was unstoppable, defeating any one in my way. In fact, some careless bump in to me,"purposely", in my way saying wow, what on you doing, after the easy battle they say oh, you wanted a battle.

Why I LOVE SOFTBALL so much
The reson why I love softball so much. Is because my dad loves it and it is are sport. That we play together. I also have a lucky number is is #3. It is the best number some people try to take it from me like last year but the year before I had my lucky number. The reson why my dad loves it is because is a fan of nasecar and his faveot driver diead so that is why he loves that number.

"Shadow of Colossus" is a really cool game that has good graphics but it is a old game ps2 game that where you try to take the soul of all of the Colossi to save you friend. and if you explore the map you will see how munch you love this game it is my favorite game in the world if you can play the game. But sometimes i think were the bad guy for taking the souls of the Colossi. I wish there was more to the game but i herded the people that made this game is making a new game.

My birthday party...
Have you ever had this week when everything is going your way? Well, that was this week when I celebrated my birthday. I invited some girls to go to the pumpkin patch with me. Since Friday was an inservice day, we celebrated it that day. When we got there, the first thing we did was go on the jumping pad. No one was there since most people were in the school.
After jumping for awhile, we went down these slides on sleds for a couple times. My mom's friend was there but she just let us go on our own. My friends wanted to go on these Buckaroo Barrel train, so I bought all of them tickets. So we got on and we all felt like two year olds. On the way back there was a loud pop that sounded like a gunshot. Everyone was looking at us and then we realize there was a tire that popped. It turned out to be Kat's barrel. It was so funny. We were laughing as we made our way to the maze. We split up and wandered around. We got tired of walking so we started running around. We got out of the maze really fast, so we made our way to these bike looking things. Two of my friends got in one seat carts while the rest of us got into a quadruple bike. We raced around trying to beat each other.
When we got tired of that, we went down these Out Law Chutes about 20 times. Every time we went down, we tried different ways to do it, and we raced each other. It was then time to go. We were very tired and were ready to leave. My mom was at the front when we got there and she drove us home. When we got to my house, some of my friends played with my little brother Haddox while supper cooked. We had chicken noodle soup and it was delicious. The football game was at Hesston, so we went to go watch. At the end of the third quarter we dropped most of the girls off. Two of my friends came over for a sleep over. We ate a lot of popcorn as we watched scary movies. The show we decided on was about this doll named Lily D. It was really scary and Katie kept squeezing my arm. I am surprised I didn't have handprints printed on my arm. We got really frightened so we watched Total Drama until about 1. Then we fell asleep.
Saturday was the best of my life, but that is another story. It was so fun!!!

The Chronicles Of Narnia Prince Caspian
I love the book Prince Caspian It is about 4 kids named Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy. I have read all of the books or almost all of them I really love them. I think my favorite character is Aslan or maybe Reepicheep, which is a mouse after all. Aslan is the king of all Narnia and he travels over seas to different country's. Reepicheep is a mouse he lost his tail in a battle, but Aslan gives him a new one.
I think this is one of my favorite series of books. There are 3 movies and 7 books the movies are The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, Prince Caspian, and The Voyage Of The Dawn Threader. In Prince Caspian, Caspian was the lost Prince of Narnia he was stolen by his uncle King Miraz (I can't remember what country he ruled.) So, this guy which worked for the king told Caspian he was the true King of Narnia.
I think I also like Lucy she is amazing in Narnia she is Queen Lucy the Valiant. I, also like Peter and Susan, Peter is the High King of Narnia and Susan is Queen Susan the Gentle. Edmund in the first book wasn't as kind as he is now in Narnia he is King Edmund the Just. I really hope you can read the book it is a really good book.

Hobbies
Everyone has hobbies that they do in there spare time lick some people like to paint and others like to play games, me I like to create or put together models of cars or planes. I created my first model when I was nine, it took me ten minutes to put together and all I had to do was snap the parts together.
As I got older I decided to build bigger models until I got tired of snapping them together I wanted a bigger challenge so I went to the next level. I decided to get the bigger models that had thousands of pieces. They took my at least a couple months to build. Even if I had help it still took a long time to create. I happen to not be working on one right now but I am searching for a new model to start.

My 100+ pets
One time when I was around seven, our family had over one hundred pets. Only for a few years, but it was still over one hundred pets. Okay, it was fish. I know, now it sounds boring, I didn't have 100+ dogs to play fetch with, or tons of cats on my lap while I am reading my books (sadly i'm allergic to cats). But it still sounds cool that I get to say I had more than a hundred pets.
It all started when we got a fifty gallon fish tank from a friend. As you can imagine, we could fit a bunch of fish in there. we of course didn't put nearly as many fish as one hundred in the tank. But there was a certain species of fish that is important to this hole blog. I forgot there real name but we called them angel fish, they were all white, slightly transparent, and probably the smallest fish in the tank. We had a couple of these fish in the tank. This is where all the problems began.
After several days or months I can't remember, there were small baby angel fish swimming around the tank lying low from all the other big fish swimming above them. More days pass then there are hundreds of them. To be honest, our family could have lived off of selling those fish. That was exaggerated of course, but we did give a lot of angel fish back to the store. If you think we named them all, we didn't, there would be no way of telling which is which after that. Colors Do Clash
Ok, it's time to talk about clashing colors. First, let's start with a definition, clashing colors are colors that don't go together or look terrible together,like orange and grey or navy blue and black. I hate it when people wear clashing colors and I try to avoid it whenever possible. I understand that you might not care if colors clash, but I am going to try to change that.
Let's face it, when you wear colors that clash it looks awful. What kinds of colors clash are different for every person because it's based on an opinion. Some colors that I think look good together, you might not. And that's ok, each person can have their own opinion. It's important to see that not every color compliments every other color.
Still not convinced? Well think of it like this, if you don't comb your hair in the morning it usually doesn't look good, and people notice that. It's the exact same thing with colors. You may not always have time to make sure everything matches, but it will show if you really do try.
Let's face it, when you wear colors that clash it looks awful. What kinds of colors clash are different for every person because it's based on an opinion. why i like doctor who
hi i am badwolf. This will be my second blog.Today i will be righting about why i love doctor who.I like doctor who because for a very long times. win i was about 5 or 7ish i stared to like time travel in facet i wish i cud travel in time. to see history, pet a dinosaur,meet the first president, and most of all see my future self see were i end up at if i live in a big house or a small house. If i cud see me now i wad think i am a real weird person. and then cry saying is that rely me? my favorite super hero is superman .i like that he is the last of his cinder and that he is a alien. all my life i have loved the fact of other splashy out in space.win i was younger i wanted to go to mars and other plants.so it just worked out doctor who is about a time traveler that is the last of his cinder. and he is a alien that go's to other planets. i also like that the doctor is like a human he needs some one to be his friend. like most people you wad like people to talk go places with.that is Exercycle what the doctor is like.that is why i like doctor who.

why my favorite pokemon is Milotic
There are a few reasons why my favorite pokemon is Milotic. One reason is because I like water types a lot. Another reason is because Milotic's typing is really awesome. Its typing is water which pretty much has only two weaknesses which is grass and electric because water is weak to grass and electric. Another reason why Milotic is my favorite pokemon is because it is a tank and it can learn some of the dragon type moves. Another reason why Milotic is my favorite pokemon is because it is a good special attacker.
Art
Art is a wonderful task you do when you want to express your feelings in some way. All art is fantastic to look at if you tried. Some people may dislike it, but it doesn't mean it's bad. To me, art is a craft waiting to be finished, a painting waiting to be painted, or a song waiting to be sung. Art isn't just crafts and drawings. There are different kinds of arts. Everyone is good at some type of art.
I mostly make art so it can decorate my room. Sometimes giving others your art is fun! Then you can make another piece of art. There are many other uses for art. You could sell it, and earn money for your hard work. You could also enter it in a competition, and get recognized for your hard work. The best reason to make art is to just inspire and do it for fun!
There are many tools you can use to make art. There is paint, markers, colored pencils, pens, crayons, and other fun tools. There are times when you need to use many tools for 1 one piece of art. Those are usually the most creative types of art. My favorite types of art are when jokes hidden in my art.
In other words... comics! Plays! Movies! ...or maybe stories?
Stories are fun when you have something funny to write about. Sadly for me, I have nothing to show as an example. I mean, if you count dropping your water bottle every 2 minutes between classes funny. If you think that is not funny, I agree with you. It's just unfortunate. Especially if you keep on slipping from the water that is spilt out because your water has the weakest lid ever. Then when you get home, you realized you left your homework in the bathroom from when you got a paper towel and you get a rage quit at life. Of course, you won't because then something awesome happens like your mom gives you your favorite dinner or something. I don't know, but that's never happened to me, by the way.

Soccer
My favorite sport I play (you can probably guess from the title) is soccer. Soccer is a fast paced game, and a faced paced games gets me exited and competitive. This is one of many reasons why I prefer soccer over the many other sports there are. Also are team has a lot of fun playing the games even though we might not win the game.
I think it would be a great idea to make soccer a high school sport. So i could continue to get better and better at the game, Also so i don't have to do cross country like my brother... to much running. But cross country is still a great sport! Just to much running and not enough strategy for me. Anyway, soccer at high school would also allow other schools to have the same opportunity to have fun and be competitive.

THE AMZING WORLD OF MINECRAFT
The world of MINECRAFT!!! I love Minecraft, the land, the water, and and the amazing creatures. There are other mods and I'll get there briefly, there are so many things you can do in Minecraft, build a house, build rollercoasters, explore caves, blow up/explore villages, defeat monsters and mine underground. Spawning creatures are pretty cool if you don't mess with some of them. I've played Minecraft lots of times, and I did it, I have broke Minecraft before, I made a whole village full of TNT, really, TNT!!!!!!!!! Villagers were like running but it was to late, but I miss the whole thing. There are mods like TNT, star wars, pokemon, etc. If you have played MINECRAFT, you'll know what I mean, ever made a house that was like a maze? I have once, never made it out of my house. TNT mod is a place with lots of crazy TNT. I love star wars mod, I mean, I love star wars. There lots of creatures, they're cool, there creative and they're fun to mess with. That's all, I hope you like this blog.

Football
Last week I played a town called Pratt. Since one of the starters on my team had a concussion, I had to go and play starting tailback. Our original starting tailback went to go play his position. So that whole week I was running most of the plays in practice. I couldn't wait till the game came. I was both nervous and excited.
When the game came I was nervous, but once the game actually started I was ready. We started out on defense, but got the ball back quickly. By the end of the 1st half the score was 26-0. We were winning. Later on in the 4th quarter they scored their first touchdown. Our coach got really mad at that. When the game ended we won 40-6. After it ended we shook hands with the other team.

Maria Sarapova
Maria was an amazing tennis player she beat many people including Lauren Davis, and she has played the tennis star Serena Williams many times. She is ranked 96 in singles. Unfortunately Maria is not able to play currently because she failed a drug test. Athlete Maria was taking the drug Meldonium since 2006. Meldonium is a drug that helps endurance and increases blood flow in athletes and is illegal. One of the reasons she was taking it was because it is a guard against diabetes. Therefore she will be banned from tennis for two whole years at least. Maria will not play professional until French Open 2018.
My Cats
My cat, Patches, is an interesting factor in my family. He is cream with dark grey splotches and has a pink nose. We call him "The Dictator" because he is a jerk to all the other pets. Although he is not nice to his brother and our dog, he is sweet to me. He likes to follow me around my house until I sit down then he hops in my lap and starts to purr. Although I like him getting in my lap, it gets annoying when he walks on my homework or books. Patches has a provocative disposition, he can be nice one minute an ready to claw my face off the next. At no time give him catnip, because he gets even more hostile towards us.
My other cat, Mittens, is polar opposite of Patches. Mittens has gained the affectionate nickname of "Marshmallow" for his size and behavior. He is Black with white on his face, belly, and feet. Mittens is a snoozy cat who loves to eat. You would think a 17lb pound cat would have a loud bellow, but he has the littlest meow you ever did hear. Unlike his brother, Mittens lives for attention, he will hop on you when ever you sit down. Despite his size Mittens fears everything including the door bell. How two cats that are litter mates are polar opposites I will never know.

Guts by Gary Paulsen is about his real adventures that parallel Brian's in the Brian books. One of the adventures was that Gary Paulsen was attached by a moose. Pausen had also made his own bow and arrow. In a lot of ways Brian and Paulsen are alike they both made bows and were attached by mooses, But Brian was just one of Paulsen's characters.

Artists Block
Do you know the feeling when you can't think of anything to draw? It happens to me almost every time I try to draw, paint, or sketch something. There are many ways to over come 'artists block'. Sometimes the best thing to do is start drawing lightly, because then you can see what you do and don't like so then you can try again and only use the things you do like.
Another way to overcome this is by trading ideas with someone else. To see someone else's ideas might make it easier for you to come up with some ideas yourself. If this doesn't work you can try my favorite way to come up with things to draw. I like to just sit and think for a few minutes to help me organize my thoughts. This is the most time consuming solution but, for me, it has the best result.
